What personal data this website collects, why, and how you can ask to see or delete it.
Draft for review. This text is a proposal. Before publishing, the family must confirm who is responsible, which service receives the form, and the retention periods.
Who we are
The Hand in Hand for Martim website is run by the parents of Martim Silva Cruz, Mickael Cruz and Marisa Silva, in Boliqueime, Algarve. They are the controllers of the personal data collected here.
What data we collect
We only collect the data you give us in the "Join my team" form:
- your name;
- your email or mobile number;
- your message, if you write one;
- the options you pick under "I want to…" (for example, making a donation or being a collection point).
The website has no user accounts, comments, or analytics or advertising tools.
What we use it for
We only use this data to reply to you and arrange the help you offered: a collection, transport, an event or a donation. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by sending the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as we need to deal with your request and for no more than 12 months after our last contact. Then we delete them.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or pass your data to anyone. The form sends your message by email, from ajudar@demaosdadaspelomartim.pt, to Martim’s parents. The website does not keep the message: it only sits in the recipient’s inbox. To prevent abuse we keep an encrypted code of your IP address for 24 hours, which cannot identify you. The website is hosted by DreamHost on servers in the European Union (Amsterdam).
Friends wall
If you tick the "wall’s top 10" box on the diploma, when you save or share it we send your first name, your town (if you type it), the level, your right answers, your time and the date. They are stored on the website’s own server (DreamHost, European Union) and appear on the wall; Martim’s parents get an email about each new name in the top 10 and can remove it. Nothing is sent if the box is not ticked. To remove your name, write to micka.a.cruz@gmail.com.
If the family starts using a form service (for example Formspree or Netlify Forms), this paragraph must name that service.
Donations
Donations are made by bank transfer directly to Martim's donation account, or directly to Clínica Kinésio. The website collects no bank details. Clínica Kinésio issues an invoice with a tax number to anyone donating directly, under its own rules.
Photos and videos
Event photos and videos are published to show the community's support. If you appear in one and would rather it came down, write to us and we'll remove it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, to limit how we use it, or to send you a copy. If you think we haven't handled your data properly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt).
